Renewed Energy for Women’s Empowerment

Nomcebo Manzini is a busy woman. As the regional director for southern Africa and the Indian Ocean islands of the UN’s recently created Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women – officially known as UN Women – she is constantly on the road from one country to another, addressing public gatherings, attending conferences, and strategizing with government officials and women activists alike.
